Igoriaans
Igoriaans is a five-panel work rooted in a single theme: the fading memory. When I look back into my own recollections, certain artefacts resurface. Elements that became the starting point for this series of paintings.
The head of a bird mask, the number 13, the dancing movements from the ballets Solo Echo and Nichts, Jessye Norman, Oedipus Rex, and, as so often in my work, the underlying score of Stravinsky’s Sacre du Printemps.
